Once you book an appointment that works for all parties, you will meet your mechanic at the seller's vehicle location. This provides an opportunity to meet the mechanic and ask any initial questions.
The mechanic will perform the peace-of-mind inspection using the provided inspection form within the app. They will carefully assess the vehicle to the best of their ability without removing any parts. If all parties agree, the mechanic can also accompany you on a test drive.
After the inspection, you will have the chance to ask additional questions. You will receive a detailed pre-purchase inspection report, including notes from the mechanic, to help you make an informed decision about the vehicle you're considering purchasing.
Once an appointment that works for all parties has been confirmed, you will meet the customer at the seller's vehicle location. This meeting provides an opportunity to introduce yourself and ask any initial questions the customer may have.
During the inspection, no parts will be removed, and wheels must not be taken off under any circumstances. A test drive should only be performed if the vehicle is deemed safe to drive and all parties agree.
You will conduct the peace-of-mind inspection using the provided form within the app, adding any additional notes as necessary. If you identify any noticeable concerns during the inspection, advise the customer to take the vehicle to a repair shop for further diagnosis. After completing the inspection, you will have the opportunity to answer any follow-up questions from the customer. A detailed pre-purchase inspection report, including your notes, will be sent to the customer through the app.
No specialized tools are required for the inspection; however, a flashlight may be helpful for better visibility. Throughout the process, always remember to be patient, honest, and informative.
